Cinco de Smoothie!

Oh Ya!
Mom went grocery shopping this afternoon. One of her stops was at Sam's Club where they were passing out samples of fresh made smoothies! HMMMMMM! sounded like a plan!
They passed out recipes for their samples too! The recipes called for orange and lime juice. But.... nothing like smoothie with fresh fruit! So, she brought home a bag of navel oranges and a small bag of lemons!

So we pealed the oranges and about half of the lemons! (just like lemon pie, you can't have to many lemons!) we halved the lemons and took out most of the seeds!


when you have an industrial blender, you don't worry about no seeds!
oh they were marvelous! 2 oranges, 2 lemons, blend until....well, you know...blended. a couple of ice cubes on top of that and voila!


we bagged up the rest of the peeled oranges and lemons and put in the freezer for our next feast!


Waste not....want not! a pile of refuse ready to out for the compost too!
Oh Ya! So, next time you come to grandma/papa's house, expect some fresh smoothies!
(the recipe that mom brought home did mention using tequila too! Strictly optional though!)
